is the ability of the cardiorespiratory system to work efficiently, supplying nutrients and oxygen to working muscles during sustained physical activity

a long distance runner needs aerobic endurance:this is because his body needs to supply his muscles with nutrients and oxygen to work his muscles during sustained physical activity to prevent his muscles from becoming fatigued

allows long distant runners to continue to run at a steady pace for the duration of the race

TEST FOR AEROBIC ENDURANCE

MULTISTAGE FITNESS TEST

FORESTRY STEP TEST

you are required to have an indoor sports hall, cones, test audiotape/ pre-recording

1)perform a warmup.line up of the start line and when u hear the triple bleep, run to the other cone 20m away.get there before the next bleep/on the bleep 2)continue this.when you hear the bleep run to the next line and etc. 3)bleeps will get closer together which will increase your pace. 4)use a spotter to check if u reached the line in time with the bleep.if not, you will receive 2 verbal warnings before being asked to pull out of the test 5)continue till u are physically exhausted i.e u have reached MAX exaustion

used to predict max oxygen intake levels

you will need a bench, metronome and stopwatch. Bench height males: 40cm .Bench height females :33cm. STEPPING RATE 22.5 for BOTH genders.metronome setting:90bpm

stand directly facing bench and start stepping in tie with the beat of the metronome.start stopwatch.keep to beat of metronome.straighten legs when you fully step up on he bench.keep stepping for 5MIN.15sec after you have sat down count pace for 15 seconds.record your 15sec pulse rate and perform a short cool down
