13When an application is [blank_start]opened[blank_end], the OS moves the [blank_start]necessary[blank_end] parts of the application to [blank_start]memory[blank_end], followed by additional parts when they're [blank_start]required[blank_end]. The OS will device if applications or features jade been used recently – if not, they may be [blank_start]removed[blank_end] from memory

14To run [blank_start]multiple[blank_end] applications, the OS needs to make sure that the applications don't [blank_start]overwrite[blank_end] or interfere with each other. A memory [blank_start]manager[blank_end] allocates certain applications certain memory [blank_start]addresses[blank_end], to make sure their processes are placed in [blank_start]separate[blank_end] locations.

- Boverwrite
- Cmanager
- Daddresses
- Eseparate
15Only [blank_start]one[blank_end] application is processed by the CPU at a time, so the other processes must [blank_start]wait[blank_end]. The OS [blank_start]divides[blank_end] [blank_start]CPU[blank_end] time between [blank_start]open[blank_end] applications and may [blank_start]prioritise[blank_end] certain processes in order for instructions to be executed in the most [blank_start]efficient[blank_end] order.
