convention, conduction and evaporation

• conduction is the transfer of energy in solid particles
• They are tightly packed which means they can only move by vibrating on each other. This means that when the particle vibrates the other gains energy and vibrates to which is why particle can be heated and this is called melting.
• In a metal their are free electrons
• This is why metals are better heat conductor that any other material because they heat up faster.
