• 1) Viruses - Code capable of copying itself and destroys and corrupts your system.
• 2) Worms - It uses a computer network to spread itself relying on security failures, they can then increase network loads slowing it down.
• 3) Trojan Horse - A Virus displaying itself as an anti-malware software but once inside it spreads around the computer, this is unknown to the user and it can then steal and corrupt your system.
• 4) Ransom-Ware - This virus can be planted in your computer stealing and locking away data which then allows the hacker to demand money to get this data back.
• 5) Spyware - This virus is planted into your computer without alerting the user and it then monitors and steals data such as credit card information, this allows the hacker to use the users money or even steal the users identity.
• 6) Root-Kits - A set of software tools allowing a hacker to gain access to a computer system without being detected, it can then steal and lock data.
• 7) Back-Door -Hackers use a computer programmers back door access to exploit the computer.

How To Prevent Getting Viruses

• 1)- Install a well known and trusted anti-malware software, these are often paid versions. This software will help prevent viruses before they are even installed and it will also help speed up the general computer.
• 2)- Don't open emails from people you don't know or dodgy titles, these emails can often install a bug or virus into a link which then persuades you to open the link, that link will then install any type of virus and could possibly cost you a lot of damage.
• 3)- Maintain a high level of browser security, making sure all your security settings is one of the simplest and easiest ways to prevent malware, you can block any website known to have dodgy links or code on and this could help your computer.
• 4)- Use common sense, using your gut feeling as to whether a link is dodgy or could contain scams is a good way to try and prevent viruses, if you see a false or dodgy website do not click it, use websites you know and trust over the ones you don't know.
• 5)- Only download sources from a website you know or trust, downloading off a dodgy website could potential put your computer at risk, many websites can trick you into downloading something like a flash player but instead the download contains a lot of harmful things to your computer, make sure the website you use is trusted and known among you and your friends to have safe and accurate downloads.
