Frage Antworten
Prophase- Chromosomes become visible ( DNA coils up) and nuclear envelope disintegrates Metaphase- Spindle forms and chromosomes line up randomly on equator of cell Anaphase- Spindle fibres attached to the centromeres divide, so the centromeres divide. the chromatids are pulled towards poles Telophase- Chromatids reach poles and become indistinct by uncoiling, the nuclear envelope+ nucleolus reforms and the spindle disintegrates
IMPORTANCE OF MITOSIS Growth- mitosis ensures that the genetic information from 2 haploid gametes which fuse together at fertilisation to form a diploid zygote is the same and the new organism resembles its parents Differentiation- These cells change (differentiate) to give groups specialised cells eg. epithelium. These different cell types each divide by mitosis to give tissues made up of identical celss which performs a particular function
