6. MARK
  1. MARK 1:11--This is the good news about Jesus Christ the SOG.
  2. Mark 1:11-- and a voice came from heaven 'you are my own dear son, I am pleased with you'.
  3. MARK 3:11--They would fall down before him and scream 'you are the son of god'
  4. MARK 9:11--a voice came from the clouds saying 'this is my own dear son listen to him
MESSIAH
1. Greek meaning 'ANOINTED ONE'
2. OT--it mean people who carry out special task
3. Jews believed a messiah would come. Some expected a prophet like Moses, others a military messiah who would get rid of the romans
4. Jesus never referred himself as the messiah. When Peter described Jesus as the Messiah Jesus accepted it but told the disiples not to tell any one
5. MARK
  1. PALM SUNDAY 11:2--'God bless coming kingdom of David'
  2. BEFORE THE SAHEDRINS AT HIS TRAIL 14:53---The High Priest said' are you the Messiah, the son of God' Jesus answered ' I am.... seated at the right of the Almighty
