Esophagus: Chemical= None. Mechanical= Peristolsis (muscle contarctions to get food into the stomach)

Stomach: Chemical= Acids and protase enzymes break down foods. Mechanical= Stomach walls contract crushing food

Small Intestine: Mechanical= Villi absorb nutrients (glucose, amino acids, fatty acids and glycerol) Chemical= All enzymes (protease, lipase and amalase) break down food into the nutrients listed aboveLiver: Creates bile which neutralises acid. Gole Bladder: Stores bile. Pancreas: Creates all enzymes

Large Intestine: Mechanical: None. Chemical= Colon absorbs water and left over nutrients
