Definition of Change

What is change?"The alteration of the status quo, in which there is only one certainty…uncertainty" (Eyre, 2009)

 Morphostatic Change –concerned with changes that take place within the existing organisational form or paradigm, i.e. 'tinkering around the edges'.

Morphogenic Change –more fundamental, therefore also more risky –attempts to transform the whole organisation –challenges fundamental / traditional assumptions
