Microprocessors
The microprocessor is the most complex central integrated circuit in a computer system
It is a logic circuit that responds to and processes the logic and arithmetic operations that make our computers work. Ultimately, it is your brain.
He acts on his own initiative, constantly receiving orders from multiple sources. When we turn on our computer, the first thing the micro does is comply with the instructions of the BIOS (basic input / output system), which is part of the computer's memory
Once running, in addition to the BIOS, it will be the operating system and the installed programs that will continue to be obeyed by the microprocessor.

Before the first processor was born, the transistor had to be created: tiny electronic switches that allow all computer instruction to be broken down into the famous zeros and ones.
The second big step was creating a circuit, which used two transistors on a silicon crystal, took place more than ten years later.
The third and final advance involved the creation of the first rudimentary processor
the importance of the microprocessor is given by executing instructions stored as sequentially organized binary numbers in main memory. The execution of the instructions can be carried out in several phases:
PreFetch, Pre reading of the instruction from main memory
Fetch, sending the instruction to the decoder
Decoding the instruction, that is, determining what instruction it is and therefore what should be done
Read operands (if any)
Execution, (Launch of the state machines that carry out the processing)
Escritura de los resultados en la memoria principal o en los registros
