Percolation refers to the slow passage of fluids through porous materials, an example of this process is filtration.
Water infiltration is related to the hydrological cycle, which refers to the penetration of water through the various permeable layers of the soil.
Evapotranspiration is defined as the loss of moisture from a surface by direct evaporation together with the loss of water by transpiration from vegetation.
Herbivorous animals eat plants and as they decompose the sugars they release carbon into the atmosphere, oceans or soils. Decomposers return carbon to the environment by decomposing dead plants.
is the continuous water cycle
The phosphorus cycle or phosphorus cycle is the circuit that describes the movement of this chemical element within a given ecosystem. Phosphorus (P) is a non-metallic, multivalent and highly reactive element. It is found in nature in various inorganic rock sediments and in the bodies of living organisms, in which it forms a vital part, albeit on a small scale.

The nitrogen cycle is the biogeochemical circuit that supplies nitrogen to living things and keeps it circulating in the biosphere. Nitrogen that is part of the atmosphere in the form of N2 cannot be utilized by animals and plants and, for this reason, a mechanism is needed to convert N2 to usable forms. Some bacteria are responsible for this mechanism. Thus, the nitrogen cycle is composed of biotic and abiotic processes.
