Each chromosomes duplicates to form an "arm" attached to the side of it and an 'x' shape 46 chromosomes consisting of 92 chromatids
'x' shape chromosomes line up it the centre of the cell so that the cell can be split evenly Can be split evenly as 46 chromatids (halves of the 'x' shape chromosome) are on each side
The cell splits to form two cells, each containing 46 chromosomes, these cells are called daughter cells The chromosomes are no longer 'x' shapes
Each of the daughter cells will continue to split And the daughter cells of the daughter cells will split... Growth
