What is a computer network?	A network is a group of computers that are connected together to allow them to share resources.
Describe a LAN.	A LAN (Local Area Network) covers a small area such as one site or building, e.g. a school or a college. Example: School Network
Describe a WAN	A WAN (Wide Area Network) covers a large geographical area. Most WANs are made from several LANs connected together. Example: Internet
What are the advantages of a computer network?	Using a network allows you to share: hardware, such as a printer software, allowing multiple users to run the same programs on different computers data, so that other people can access shared work and you can access your data from any computer on the network
