Anselm's argument 1st part - God is: 'that than which nothing greater can be conceived.' - If God exists in the mind alone then a greater being could exist in reality as well.
Anselm's argument 2nd part - God's existence is necessary, as there is no possibility of him not existing. - To be thought not to exist would be inferior.
Descartes' argument 1st part - God is supremely perfect, Gods necessary existence is contained with his definition. - The idea of God must have been provided by him because we are imperfect and incapable of conceiving a perfect being.
Descartes' argument 2nd part - Existence is a predicate, so God must possess existence to be perfect. - Imagining God without existence is like imagining a triangle without 3 sides.
Alvin Platinga - There is a possible world in which exists a being with 'maximal greatness.' - A being only has maximal greatness if it exists in every possible world, therefore God must exist.
Norman Malcom - Gods existence is necessary and the concept of a God must have necessary existence. - God either exists necessarily or he does not exist at all.
