- 1What are the differences between p waves and s waves?P waves are longitudinal because they push and pull. S waves are transverse because they move side to side.
P waves can travel through solids and liquids. S waves can travel through solids only! - 2What are the densities of the crust, mantle, outer core and inner core?The crust is thin and rocky. The mantle is solid but can flow slowly. The outer core is liquid nickel and iron. The inner core is solid nickel and iron.
- 3What causes convection currents in the mantle?Radioactive material decays and releases heat which causes the mantle to flow in convection currents.
- 4What is the difference between an AC and a DC?An AC current changes direction so it is alternating. A direct current only goes in one direction.

As the magnet changes rotates the direction changes- it induces a current/voltage. the wire is a closed circuit and it flows to the bulb to convert it into light. the greater the current the more brighter.
