the hands and fingers are sensitive tools and can asses temperature , turgor , texture , moisture , vibrations etc

the dorsum surfaces of the hand and fingers are use to measure temperature

the palmar surfaces of the fingers and finger pads are used to asses texture , shape and pulsation

vibration is palpeted best with the palm of the hand

percussion

is the examination by tapping the fingers on the body to determinate the condition of the internal organs by sounds

is the act of striking one objetc against another to produce sounds

persussion is also udes to determine if a structure is air filled fluis flled or solid

percussion produces resonant , hyper resonant , dull and flat

auscultation

is the process of listening to souns thath are generated wirhin the body

is ussualy done with sthethoscope

the heart and blood vessels are ausultated for circulation of blood

the elungs are ausculted for moving air

the abdomen is auscultated for movement os gastrointestianal contents

manipulation

it is the moving of a part of the body to note its flexibility
