   • type of malicious software designed to block for a ransom
   • it blocks data and demands money for access

   • a protection software that does nt enable access to others data
   • can go out of date very often and needs to be updated

5. Trojan Horse

   • One of the most insidious types of Trojan horse is a program that claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses onto your computer. The term comes from the a Greek story of the Trojan War, in which the Greeks give a giant wooden horse to their foes, the Trojans, ostensibly as a peace offering.
   • First, structure the user-accounts permissions on your computer so that accounts with full administrative rights are used rarely, and only to install or update software. For all other tasks, including Internet use and regular office work, use limited accounts that cannot modify applications.
