History of DB

1. Were libraries which contained many books and had to read all to find good information. With this much time was spent and it was hard to find information.

2. In 1984 Herman Hollerith created the drill rig.

3. In 1950 the magnetic tapes were used which could only be read sequentially.

   • In 1960 computers dropped in price, so the magnetic tapes for replacement discs.

4. Thanks to computers using a database it became much easier as you could consult information directly.

5. In 1970 Edgar Frank Codd invented relational DB.

6. In 1980 the rise of the marketing of relational systems begins.

7. Currently the domain of databases are of IBM, Microsoft and Oracle
