The moon and eclipses

1. Occur when the sun, the moon and the Earth are aligned. They can be lunar o solar.

   • Lunar eclipse: occurs when the Earth passes between the moon and the sun.
   • Solar eclipse: occurs when the moon is between the erath and the sun
     • Solar eclipses can be: total, partial or anular
       • Total: the moon blocks out the sun entirely
       • Partial: the moon blocks out just a portion of the sun
       • Anular: the moon doesn´t cover the sun completely and leaves an outher ring of light
