Vadilty and Reliability

  1. Validity

    • Construct Validity Evidence "is the relationship to other information corresponds well with some theory(Kubiszyn & Borich & 2013,p.327).".
    • Criterion-Related Validity Evidemce "is the scores from a test are correlated with external criterion(Kubiszyn & Borich , 2013, p. 327)."
      • Predictive Validity Evidence" refers to how well the test predicts some futiure behavior of the examinees(Kubiszyn & Borich & , 2013, p. 328)."
      • Concurrent Crition-Related Validity Evidence "deals with measure that can be administered at the same time as the measure to be validated(Kubiszyn & Borich , 2013, p. 327)."
    • Content Validity Evidence is " simplest and established by inspecting test questionss to see whether they correspond to what the user decides should be covered by the test (Kubiszyn & Borich , 2013, p. 327)."
  2. Reliability

    • Kuder-Richardson Methods " These methods measure the extent to which items within one form of the test have as much in common with one another as do the items in that one form with corresponding (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2013, p. 341)."
    • Test-Retest or Stability " is a method of estimating reliablilty that is exactly what its name implies(Kubiszyn & Borich, 2013 p. 338)."
    • Alternate Forms of Equivalence " if ther are two equivalent forms of a test, these form can be used to obtain an estimate of the reliabiltiy of the scores form the test( Kubiszyn & Borich ,2013, p.340 ). "
    • Internal Consistency " if tge test ub question is designed to measure a single concept , it is reasonable to assume that people who get one item rright will be more likely to get other, similar items right ( Kubiszyn & Borich ,2013, p. 340)."
    • Split-Half Method " each item is assigned to one half or other. Then, the total score for each student on each half is determined and the correlations between the two totalm scores for both halves is computed ( Kubiszyn & Borich ,2013,p.341)."
  3. Learning Assessment

  4. Kubiszyn , T. & Borich , G. (2013). Educational testing & measurement: Classroom application and pratice. ( 10 ed.). John Wiley & Son, New Jersey: Hoboken.
