1. Local and network

   • Networked is internal use only for the company, More than one person can use it at a time.
     • School computors
   • Local is where only one person can use it at a time. . No one else can use it
     • E.g. finance

2. Flat and relational

   • Flat means one table of information. Flat is all done on one table which makes it more complicating and easier to make mistakes. also uses more data
     • Smaller business with around 20 people
   • Relational database takes away repeated (redundant) data. It makes it easier.
     • Bigger business

3. Online

   • Accsessed by a webpage, its automatic and always up to date information. You can access it anywhere in the world.
     • An example of these are Amazon, ebay and asos.
