1. Malware

   • Viruses
     • Cause physical harm to a computer system: they could hide files, duplicate them, and delete them.
   • Spyware
     • Aims to take peoples data and spy on them.
   • Adware
     • Doesn't aim to delete or corrupt data, it aims to display unwanted adverts
   • Pharming
     • Changes IP address so user is directed to a dodgy website, not the one they wanted

2. Phishing

   • Acquire info about a user such as a username, bank details, passwords, etc.

3. Brute Force Attack

   • Where a criminal uses trial and error to hack accounts until access is granted

4. Denial of Service Attacks (DoS)

   • Seeks to traffic websites to bring them down

5. SQL Injections

   • People can go into a system and change the statements and take all the data
