1. PARRALLELOGRAM

   • opposite sides are congruent
   • consecutive angles are supplementary
   • opposite angles are congruent
   • diagonals cut each other in half
   • if 3 or more parallel lines cut off congruent segments on one transversal, then they cut off congruent segments on every transversal
   • RHOMBUS
     • def.:(quadrilateral w/ 4 congruent sides)
     • diagonals are perpendicular
     • each diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angles
     • SQUARE
       • def.:(parallelogram w/ 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides)
       • a square is both a rectangle and a rhombus, but never the other way around
   • RECTANGLE
     • def.: (quadrilateral w/ 4 right angles
     • diagonals are congruent

3. TRAPEZOID

   • def.: one set of parallel lines
   • the midsegment is parallel to the bases
   • the length of the mid segment is half the sum of the lengths of the bases
   • ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID
     • def.: (legs are congruent)
     • diagonals are congruent
     • each pair of base angles is congruent

4. KITE

   • def.: two sets of consecutive sides that are congruent and no opposite sides is congruent
   • its diagonals meet at right angles
