   • (world wide web)
   • Where all information in the internet is stored/kept
     • Websites
     • webservers

2. Used for coding

   • specifically, making websites.
     • It arranges graphic on web pages
       • It helps set up titles and paragraphs
       • It allows images to be added or removed from sites
       • You can also use it to add colours and other details to make a site more appealing, than just words in black and white font
       • It can be used for some less exciting things as well;
         • Exporting links from various different websites
         • changing the size of the web pages margin
     • (Used by site authors)

3. Hypertext Markup Language

   • HTML is an acronym for this ( Hypertext markup language)
   • A 'language' used as a method of programming websites/pages.
     • It is not a language hard to master, but it defintetly isn't simple
       • This makes it easy for people to make their own webpages
         • for their own business
         • to add on to websites
         • or just for the fun of it
     • In this language, there are 'tags'.
       • <h1>
         • Heading of the biggest font.
         • <h3>
         • <h6>
           • The smallest header font.
         • <h5>
         • <h2>
         • <h4>
       • <p>
         • Paragraph
       • <title>
         • This gives the web page a title (at the very top of the screen, higher than the header).
       • <!DOCTYPEhtml>
         • this specifies the type of document you are editing and saving.
       • <body>
         • editing with this tag shows that you are editing the body of the web page.
       • </head>
         • this tag shows that you are editing the header.
       • <br>
         • &lt;br&gt; : break
       • <footer>
         • encasing code in this tag, means that you are editing the footer.
       • <div>
         • creates divisions in the web page.
       • <style>
         • used to give different variables to the design of the web page.
         • font
