  1. Responsibilities of a choreographer.
    1. A choreographer's main responsibility is create routine/s tailored for an individual or a group of dancers.
      1. Be organised.
        1. Perhaps turn up early to rehearsals to greet the dance members.
        2. A choreographer needs to be patient.
          1. A choreographer should be able to adapt to different dance styles and abilities.
            1. Come up with choreography for all different dance styles.
              1. Plan each movement in detail for the dancers.
                1. Make sure that all routines are fully rehearsed and prepared in time for shows.
                  1. Selecting dancers for specific roles.
                    1. This may involve a briefing.
                    2. Liaise with other creative staff
                      1. Costume Designers.
                        1. Artist Directors.
                          1. Artist Producers.
                            1. This is to discuss requirements for the show/production that the choreographer is involved in.
                          2. The roles of a choreographer.
                            1. The role of a choreographer is to design dances and direct them for performances.
                              1. Usually choreographers love the movement and the art of dance.
                                1. They love to be creative and inspire others most of the time.
                                2. Skills needed to be a choreographer.
                                  1. Stamina.
                                    1. Strong dance technique.
                                      1. A high level of knowledge about dance.
                                        1. Ideally years of dance practice.
                                          1. A good history of dance.
                                          2. A choreographer should be able to lead a dancer/s to success.
                                            1. Creativity.
                                              1. Good communication skills.
                                                1. To be able to discipline their dancers.
                                                  1. Persistently get dancers to rehearse.
