   1. Organzation is a social entity that is goal directed & deliberately structured
      1. Social entity--being made up of 2 or more people
      2. Goal directed--designed to achieve some outcome.

      3. Deliberately Structured-- task are divided & responsibility for their performance is assigned to organization members
   2. Effectiveness is the degree to which the organization achieves a stated goal, or succeeds in accomplishing what it tries to do.
   3. Efficiency refers to the amount of resources used to achieve an organizational goal
