1. Server side processing is processing that occurs on the server and then the information is sent to the client

   • The language that makes this possible is web scripts

2. Server side processing is not browser specific- it does not matter what browser a user has- the data will look the same.

   • Server side processing can be faster than client side processing because it is not dependant on the client's processor.
   • Server side processing is efficient because when it reaches the client it is already processed.

3. Web scripts are included in the code of the webpage and run when the page is loaded.

4. These webpages are processed before they are downloaded!

5. Overloading can be a problem, if too many people are asking the web server to process information then it could overload the server causing the system to crash.

6. Security is a problem, as the data is moving across the internet, it can be intercepted by hackers and viruses.
