Client side processing.

1. Client side processing uses web scripts- a scripting language.

2. Client side processing is where the interactivity on the webpage is processed and downloaded on the users computer.

3. Client side processing is browser specific. Different web browsers will understand differently the scripting language (web scripts).

4. An example is a rollover image that a user hovers over as the webpage has already been downloaded onto the users computer. The server downloads a copy of the webpage on the users computer when it is requested but nothing else.

5. The speed of this can be faster than server side processing because there is no risk of overloading.

6. Client side processing is dependant on the users processor.
