1. Waves

   • Longitunal
     • In longitunal waves, the oscillations are along the same direction as the direction of travel and energy transverse
   • Transverse
     • In transvers waves, the oscillations are at right angles to the direction of travel and energy transfer
   • Seismic waves
     • Seismic waves travel through the layers of the earth. They usually result from an earthquake, volcanic eruption or other explosion.
   • P-waves
     • Longitunal, Fast moving, Travel through liguid and solid only
   • S-waves
     • Transverse, Slow moving, Travel through solids only
