Application Testing

1. Non-Functional Testing

   • Processing speed
   • Looks at application as a whole
   • Suitability for the client

2. Unit Modular Testing

   • Tests small parts of the application called units
   • Unit tests are used as developers work on the code
   • Used to check that the 'building blocks' of the code work independently

3. Alpha Tests

   • Internal testing to check it is acceptable

4. Beta Tests

   • Comes after Alpha testing
   • External testing, released to a small group of users independent of the development team
