1. Worm

   • spread like viruses but don't need human interaction

2. Trojan Horse

   • disguises itself as a normal piece of software, it allows unauthorised access to a computer without user knowing

3. Spyware

   • a malicious piece of software that is added to your phone to spy on you

4. Phishing

   • normally an email or text message scam where the victim is made to believe that they're being contacted by

5. Virus

   • they are in normal programs and can replicate and transfer from one computer to another

6. DDoS

   • when multiple requests come from many sources so you can't block just one IP address

7. Brute force attack

   • when every possible password combination is tried by the system, with the hope that one will be correct
