Computational Thinking

1. Decomposition

   • Decomposition is breaking a problem or system down into its parts to make it easier to solve
   • breaking it down
   • recognising how it works

2. algorithms

   • An algorithm is a a clear set of instructions or ruls used to perform a task. They have to be clear and broken down so that it is easy to follow

3. Pattern Recognition

   • Pattern recognition is spotting patters to make predictions, create rules and solve other problems

4. Abstraction

   • Abstraction is acknowledging what is important and what is not and removing the irrelevant information
   • to keep the important details
     • to know the important details

5. Computational thinking allows us to take a complex problem, understand what the problem is and develop possible solutions
