Computational thinking
Algorithms
- A finite sequence of computer-implementable instuctions.
Evaluation
- Ensuring the code does it's intended job.
- And that it's effective and fully decomposed.
- And it meets the criteria.
- Checking and assessing an algorithm.
- Judging based on certain factors, like user needs,
- Ensuring the code does it's intended job.
Decomposition
- AKA factoring
- Breaking down complex problems so they are easier to understand.
- Even turning them into to explicit steps.
Abstraction
- Removing un-needed or unwanted details from the algorithm.
- Benjamin C Pierce
- One of the first people to define abstraction in computin.
- To reduce some of the complexity in computing.
Patterns
- Patterns can be found nearly anywhere..
- They help us predict future data.
- Kent Beck and Ward Cummingham
