Example: "The house was painted by João." "The glass was broken by João". "The car was washed by João"
The Passive Voice is a type of phrasal construction where the subject is patient, so, he suffers the action of the sentence instead of practicing it. What happens to the subject is highlighted, however, without emphasizing it.
