2. Artificial Selection

   • Intentionally causes by humans, selecting desired traits for an organism
   • The three types of artificial selection. Selective Breeding, Gene Therapy, Genetic Mutation
     • Definition of selective breeding is the intentional mating of two animals or plants that produces offspring with desirable traits. A pro os selective breeding is more food production for a growing population, a con of selective breeding is Harmful to animals or wrong characteristics achieved.
     • Definition of Genetic Modification is the process of altering the genetic makeup of an organism to improve the organism's desired traits. A pro of Genetic Modification is combat world hunger by increasing food supply, a con of Genetic modification is GMO might be unsafe.
     • Definition of Gene Therapy is to correct faulty genes to treat or prevent disease; corrected genes are inserted directly into the organism’s DNA. A pro of Gene Therapy is the possibility to cure deadly diseases like cancer, a con of Gene Therapy is dangerous and difficult process.
