   • from 2001 - 2010, biggest cause of water spread infection (USA)
   • outbreak every couple of years

   • cattle and other farm animals
   • deer
   • even lizards

   • ingestion
     • direct
     • indirect

   • usually 1 - 2 weeks
     • can range from 4 days to 4 weeks though

7. signs and symptoms

   • Vomiting
   • diarrohea
   • dehydration
   • Fever
   • weight loss
   • lack of appetite
   • cramps

8. preventative measures

   • wash raw meat and veg
   • avoid intake of facaes during sexual activity/experimentation
   • wash hands after touching farm animals
   • was hands after toilet, changing diapers ETC..
   • take care when swimming in lakes, dirty pools etc..

9. methods of control

   • isolation
   • education on hygeine
     • swimming
     • vigilance when cooking
