  3. It would remain a secret, and would last 5 years, with it being renewed every 3 years after

Dual Entente
1. Reasons
  1. Mutual suspicion of Germany
  2. Russia needed foreign investment to develop industry
  3. Russia received French loans, while France received military security
2. Impact on International Relations
  1. Able to prepare for the worst scenario
  2. Could use allies to the best of their ability
3. Terms
  1. If either country is attacked by Germany in any way, the other must provide them with support
  2. If any countries in the Triple Alliance are mobilised, both shall mobilise their whole forces
  3. Forces should be enforced in Germany on both the eat and west coast, so they fight simultaneously
  4. General Staffs in both countries should cooperate at all time
  5. Shall not conclude peace separately
  6. Same duration as the Triple Alliance, and should also be kept a secret
Triple Alliance 1882
1. Terms
  1. Germany and Italy would support each other if attacked by France
  2. If attacked by another power, they would give mutual support
  3. Italy would remain neutral if there was a war between Russia and Austria-Hungary
  4. It was to be kept secret
2. Reasons
  1. Saw each other as useful allies
  2. Be able to achieve more for their country, i.e. allies, power, land etc
3. Impact on International Relations
  1. Increased allies
  2. Reduced the risk of conflict, as countries would be fighting against more countries
  3. Reduced the amount of victories during wars
