Task Requirements
- Existing Solutions
- Gooogle Maps
- Pro
- Users have the ability to use features such as Save the location, Location Sharing, Maps Gallery.
- Users will feel that this application is reliable as the data is constantly being updated.
- Has a map that allows users to view the house in either 3D view or Street View. Users have options to move around in the street digitally, greatly saving time and petrol costs to go to the destination in person.
- Cons
- Users will find that the offline functions of google maps are very limited. Such as the offline maps, e.g. they can only plan driving routes.
- Users have to take in mind that whenever they use google maps, their location is with Google. It can be potentially misused if the security around the user's data is breached.
- Sometimes Google maps outputs incorrect directions to the user which is problematic as they could lose their sense of direction and arrive at the wrong destination.
- Pro
- Waze
- Cons
- Users will tend to get distracted a lot with friend notifications, Advertisements, and routes can be re-routed.
- Waze is only for drivers with cars and does not give any options for users who want to get to destinations using other modes of transport such as bikes, buses or walking.
- The application is known to actively drain the battery of a user's mobile device.
- Pro
- Has a feature that allows users to add friends, enabling them to keep track of each other while travelling or making it easier to locate friends.
- Waze takes into account accidents, traffic jams and other obstacles in order to find the best and fastest route possible for users.
- The real-time focus of this app is to get drivers to their destinations through the fastest route possible.
- Cons
- Gooogle Maps

- The search query is easy to understand allowing users of multiple backgrounds and technological literacy to use it.
- The code does not contain unnecessary lines.
- Use of resources to their full potential.
- Users are able to use the application without encountering problems such as Missing records in tables, valid field are not inputted with data.
- The data should easily be entered into the database and retrieved whenever users are signing up or logging into the application.
- The application must be able to flash error messages whenever there is incomplete data, E.g. Not all required fields are valid.
- Users will not be encountering any data anomalies. E.g. A record of a user in the user's table that has stopped using the application exists in a different table.
- Must have a Successful Signup and Login
- The Application must have a login and signup form to retrieve and display users' personal account information.
- There is a database to store this information.
- The Application must have a login and signup form to retrieve and display users' personal account information.

Impacts
- Personal
- Users will get a sense of satisfaction after finding the perfect housing location. They will have the option to leave comments for improvements to the application in the comments section.
- The app allows for time to be saved. As instead of going into the internet and spending time searching for locations, the information is already available on the application.
- Users get to save on extra costs like petrol, as instead of going to random houses for inspections. They can plan ahead and only go to their selected houses.

- Economical
- If a company decides to invest into the app, this will allow usuage around the world. Greatly boosting economic value.
- Social
- The app will identify where the best house can be found, using variables such as Park Location and Library Locations from past recorded data. This will allow for more usage between communities.

Developer Problem
- User Interface
- Usability Principle
- Utility
- The Web Application allows users to choose between different suburbs for the best houses, and filter those suburbs to their personal preferences.
- Effectiveness
- The Application will retrieve all data which is relevant to the users filtered search.
- Safety
- When the user's data is stored in the database, security such as encryption will be used to protect the data.
- Learnability
- Once login and signup are successful, the user will have full access to the application through the buttons and clear pictures.
- Accessibility
- The Signup and Login forms display words, buttons and pictures for simple ease of access for the user.
- Utility
- User Interface Components
- Buttons
- Buttons will be placed at certain points in the application, this will allow the user to use the different features of the apps. Such as the user inputting their data in the login fields and pressing the login button to go to the home screen page.
- Filter list
- The filter list will allow the users to choose different variables when they start searching for the housing locations. Variables such as Park Locations or Library locations.
- Images
- Users will able to see images relveant to their search for the houses.
- Links
- On the web application the user will be able to see links that lead to other platforms such as Google, Twitter and Facebook. If the user needs to login through those platforms they can do so. This follows the safety principle as the user can store the information from those other platforms, in this applications databases.
- Login Form
- This will be displayed once the user has entered their data. This is an optional screen as this screen stores the user's data in the database, this follows the effectiveness usability principle.
- Signup form
- This will be displayed once the user is signing up for the first time. This is a mandatory screen as this screen stores the user's data in the database, this follows the effectiveness usability principle.

Data Privacy Considerations for Data collected from users
- Data collected must be encrypted with a set code.
- Two-Factor authentication, UserId's and passwords can be used to protect data collected from users.
- Set Security standards such as passcodes or privacy policies.
- After data has been collected, users should give their consent to the application which will indicate that they have either agreed or disagreed to store their data in the applications database.
