1. Task requirements

   • Self-determined criteria
     • Solution has a structured and fluid design
       • Hierarchy is of upmost important in order to be easily navigated, so ’clutter’ or ‘bloat’ is not taking up most of the space.
       • Images, lines, text, and colour need to be used effectively in order to present a ’fluid’ design.
     • Solution has space on the sides to offer for variability such as space, images or both.
       • These allow for more opportunity to add things in the future such as advertisements, news feeds.
       • These ‘spaces’ cant be too big as it will obstruct the hierarchy and fluidity of the website design.
   • Prescribed Criteria
     • Solution allows a user to purchase an item on an ecommerce platform
       • Button to click to add item to cart
       • Price needs to be retrieved from a server to be updated
       • Customer cart items need to saved when moving to a different screen or part of the website
     • Solution allows a user to login on an ecommerce platform
       • Button to click to go to login page - top right corner in the banner
       • Data inputted needs to be stored on the server and user is then ‘logged’ in
     • Solution allows a user to signup on an ecommerce platform
       • Button to click to go to signup page - top right corner in the banner
       • Data inputted needs to be stored on the server and user is then ‘signed’ up to the website
       • User has options to use email or phone number to sign up
     • Solution demonstrates all of the Useability Principles
       • Accessibility is the main useability principle of our website as it is the main issue of our user persona, Bob Johnson.
     • Solution demonstrates at least 2 Elements or Principles of Visual Communication
       • Hierarchy is referred to as the ‘reading order’ for the user. An example is that the most important things are the biggest and the least important being the smallest.
       • Contrast is the difference between two or more components of visual communication. An example is colour being black and white, a high contrast.
