   • God reveals himself to people on a personal level
     • Experience him in life and world
       • Experience God through interation with other people and nature I-Thou
         • God is External Thou

2. R M Hare

   • RE's are just bliks
     • Unfalsifiable/Unverifiable way of looking at the world
       • RE's personal/subjective/believe it to be true
         • Conversions suggest there is no reason to doubt RE's-cant be meaningless

3. Emotivism

   • Ethical sentences only express emotional attitudes
     • Torture is wrong-doesnt give any info on tortue itself
       • Doesn't fit the verification principle-moral statement

4. Richard Dawkins

   • Organised religion is evil-should be stopped
     • Claimed that manifestations are certainly not good grounds for believing
       • Without religion our thinking would be much more rational-more interested in improving our life than speculating about an afterlife which may not even be real
         • Be more tolerate of each other-religion/faith wouldn't separate people

5. Richard Swinburne

   • what we perceive is usually the case
     • Principle of Testimony/Principle of Credulity
       • people usually tell the truth unless theyr'e known liars/on drugs/mentally unwell

6. Occam's Razor

   • Should believe the simplest statement to be true
     • If RE is most straight forward answer then it should be believed
       • Ayer says simple statements are meaningless even if speaker is honest/sincere
