1. Modelling Software

   • Modelling of objects (rooms, buildings, cars, etc)
     • The effect of external influences
     • Different attributes of the building can be shown
     • The model can be rotated and parts shown in more detail by zooming in on them
   • Mathematical modelling (financial, calculations, spreadsheets)
     • Mathematical models are normally made in spreadsheet software
     • Formulae and functions allow numbers to inputed and for any changes to be automatically recalculated.
     • What-if questions allow values to be changed to see the effect

2. Variables, formulae, rules and functions

   • Variables: Is an identifier associated with a particular cell that contains a value.
