Metamorphic
How was it made? Metamorphic rocks are made due to heat and pressure underground. The Earth's movements cause to be deeply buried or squeezed. The minerals inside the rock before it was formed into metamorphic are chemically changed from magma or the heat from it. The minerals are from other rocks that have been moulded into one.
Where is it? They are often found in mountainous regions. For example slate. Slate was originally black mud laid down on the bottom of the sea or lake. Fossils can be found sometimes but they are squashed. They can also be formed by deep pressures under ground. by tectonic processes such as continental collisions or when they are heated up by an intrusion of hot molten rock called magma.
Metamorphic rocks form tectonic processes. Convergent boundary usually produce different landforms . Two plates slam past each other or grind or pull apart. These plates from heat and pressure which then form metamorhic rocks
Metamorphic rocks come in different forms like slate. This is beneficial because people use this for good roofing material, decorative gardening stones and a base for snooker tables. Furthermore another form of metamorphic rock is marble. This rock is used to make building and for sculpture and also can be ground down for soap and cleaning products. Last but not least, schist, this is used for building material. For gardening decoration, paving and sometimes sculpure
