The Platonic solid

1. A Platonic solid is a regular, convex polyhedron with congruent faces of regular polygons and the same number of faces meeting at each vertex, all of the faces and edges are the same. There are five platonic solids and they are: Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Dodecahedron and Icosahedron. Each one symbolizes one of the elements.

   • The Cube or hexahedron
     • The cube has six faces, eight vertices and twelve edges. Each time we can see only between 1 and 3 faces
       • The cube symbolizes the earth
     • These two platonic solids are Duality, which means that if we put one point in the middle of each face of the cube and connect them with lines we will get the Octahedron and the opposite
   • Tetrahedron
     • The tetrahedron has four faces, four vertices and six edges
       • The tetrahedron symbolized the fire.
   • Octahedron
     • The octahedron has eight faces, six vertices and twelve edges. All its faces are triangle
       • The octahedron symbolizes the air

2. Dodecahedron

   • The dodecahedron has twelve faces, twenty vertices and thirty edges
     • The dodecahedron symbolizes the earth

3. Icosahedron

   • The Icosahedron has twenty faces, twelve vertices and thirty edges
     • The Icosahedron symbolized the water
   • These two platonic solids are Duality, which means that if we put one point iin the middle of each face of the dodecahedron and connect them with lines we will get the icosahedron and the opposite
