1. Marriage

   • Do not beleive in forced marriages
   • Arranged marriages are ok
   • Mahr-husband pays wife a dowry
   • Polygamy-Men can marry up to 4 wives
   • Wali-A marriage representative
   • Walimah-Party after the wedding
   • Nikkah-The wedding contract

2. Allah

   • Tawhid-Belief in oneness+unity of God
   • Omniscient-All knowing
   • Omnipotent-All powerful
   • Omnipresent-Everywhere
   • The only god
   • 99 names of God
     • The Lord
     • The Creator
     • The Almighty

3. Birth Rites

   • Say the Hadith-the teachings based on the the life of the prophet
   • The Tahnik-Placing something sweet in the babies mouth
   • The New baby is welcomed to the Ummah-communtiy of Muslims
   • Khirtan-circumstision
   • Aqiqah-the naming ceremony
   • Adhan-call to prayer
   • Iqamah-the command to rise and worship

4. Funeral Rites

   • Cremation is forbidden
   • They bury the body as quickly as possible-24hr
   • Don't use a coffin, buried facing Mekkah
   • They see suicide as wrong and disrespectful
   • Very rare to have a gravestone
     • Yawm Uddin-the day of judgement
   • Jahannam-hel
     • al Janna-when someone goes to pradise/heaven
