   • appoint linguistic variables and terms (initialization)
   • create membership functions (initialization)
   • create rule base (initialization)
   • convert crisp input data to fuzzy values based on the membership functions (Fuzzification)
   • evaluate the rules in the rule base (inference)
   • combine the results of rules (aggregation)
   • convert output data to non-fuzzy value (Defuzzification)

8. Fuzzy Compatibility Function

   • generalization of classical characteristic function to compatibility function
   • denotes how well an object has an attribute
