FCE SPEAKING MIND MAP

1. PART 1: Question and answer

   • It takes 2 minutes
   • The person doing de speaking exam has to respond to some questions
   • Respond with long sentences giving an example, a reason and using but and although to contrast your idea.
   • There are some topics that can be accepted like for example: work and studies, family and friends, hobbies and pastimes, movies and books -Entertainment and music, routine and hobbies, Plans, Holiday and travel

2. Part 2: Long-Turn

   • In this part you are given some fotos that you need to compare and say something about them.
   • This part takes 4 minutes between you and your partner. it is 1 minute to talk about your photos and 30 seconds to answer the question about your partners photo
   • You should comment about your photographs and answer a question about your partners photo
   • You have to use full phrases

3. Part 3 FCE speaking

   • You get about 15 seconds to read everything, then you have to discuss it with your partner for 2 minutes. When the 2 minutes are over, the examiner will stop you and he will ask another question and discuss that for another minute
   • You have to work as a team. Treat your partner as an equal, give them equal chance to speak and be prepared to agree or disagree with them in a respectful way
   • You don't have to talk about all of the points in 2 minutes, you won't have time to talk about all of them. It's better if you talk about a few of them but have a good conversation

4. Part 4 FCE speaking

   • Last about 4e minutes, tests ability to use language to express and justify an opinion,to agree and disagree etc.
   • How has travel changed over the last twenty five years?
   • What are the advantages and disadvantages of travelling by plane in your opinion?
   • What could governments do to improve transportation? (Do you think that is likely to happen?
