1. Used to deploy cloud foundry, but can be used to deploy other distributed systems, such as hadoop

   • Bosh claims the following: Tools like chef, puppet, docker each solve one of the problems of versioning, packaging and deploying software reproducibly, but bosh solves all of them as a whole.

   • bosh maintains two types of stemcells: ubuntu and centOs for vSphere, Openstack, vCloud and AWS.
