1. Lymph Nodes

   • function as a filter
   • 99% of antigens
   • Remove debris and pathogens

2. Thymus

   • Reduces in size with age
   • Produces hormones important in the development and maintenance of normal immunological defences
   • Produces Thymosin, important in the development and maturation of lymphocytes

3. Spleen

   • B and T cell immune response
   • Removal of abnormal blood cells and other blood components by phagocytosis
   • Storage of iron recycled from RBCs
