1. Formación del "present perfect"

   • Estructura afirmativa
     • Sujeto Verbo +auxiliar (have/has)+ Verbo en participio +Complemento
       • You have played videogames
   • Estructura negativa
     • Sujeto Verbo + auxiliary (have) + Not + Verbo en participio +Complemento
       • He has not called his grandmother
   • Estructura interrogativa
     • Verbo auxiliar + (have/has) + Sujeto Verbo en participio +Complemento
       • Have you eaten in that restaurant?

2. Funciones del "present perfect"

   • The "present perfect" is used to indicate a link between the present and the past. The time in which the action takes place is prior to the present but not specific and, often, a greater interest falls on the result than on the action itself.

3. El "present perfect" se utiliza para describir

   • An action or situation initiated in the past and continues in the present. I have lived in Bristol since 1984 (= I still live there.)
     • An action performed during a period of time not yet concluded. She has been to the cinema twice this week (= the week not yet finished.)
       • An action repeated in a period non-specific time between The past and the present. We have visited Portugal several times.
       • An action that has concluded in a very recent past, which is indicated by 'just'. I have just finished my work.
