   • Previous Sanction to Introduction of a Bill
   • Power to promulgate Ordinances

   • Supreme commander - Defence Forces
   • To declare War & Peace

7. 3. Diplomatic Powers

   • Treaties & International agreements signed in the name of President
   • Appoint Representatives abroad; recv diplomats from other countries
   • Represent India in International Conferences

8. 6. Judicial Powers

   • Grant pardon or reduce sentence
   • Not answerable to any court
   • No criminal proceedings against President during his term
