Carbon Cycle

Carbon Cycle

1. Producers

   • Plants
   • make own food molecules
     • during the process of photosynthesis
       • need sunlight and carbon dioxide
       • release oxygen as a by-product
   • food for consumers

2. Consumers

   • eat producers
     • change it to energy with oxygen
   • waste products
     • water
     • carbon dioxide
   • cannot MAKE their own food

3. Decomposers

   • take carbon compounds from dead organisms
